I’ve always been fascinated with anything to do with film. When I was a teenager in the early 1990s I remember having an almost obsessive interest in the tools used to create visual and audio effects in film. However audio in particular was always my passion.
My aim from the early years of high school was to do something within the film audio field but, like many others, another path presented itself and I turned my attention to information technology. At 15 I bought Cubase Audio Falcon and enjoyed many years tinkering with sound and various audio creations.
More than 30 years later I’m now studying audio composition and audio post production (finally). However, what has become apparent is my fascination with the process, the way things are done, the workflow, the creative process melding with the tools to actually produce the right note at the right time to melt our hearts, or the right sound effect perfectly synced to (willingly) suspend my disbelief!
This website aims to be a place where, as I learn more of the craft and process of post production audio, I can release my software creations – with the hope they add value to those creating the wonderful experiences I enjoy so much.
